(1) Planting period Although the temperature in the greenhouse can be adjusted, the best time for planting is spring, autumn and summer. Spring is the best; autumn is more suitable for planting, but attention should be paid to changes in temperature and water; in summer, some climbing tropical foliage plants with aerial roots are generally planted.
(2) Planting method
① Potting Potting refers to the operation of planting propagated seedlings or purchased seedlings in flower pots.
Choose flower pots of appropriate specifications according to the size of the seedlings; also pay attention to the difference between pots for cultivation and pots for market use. For cultivation, choose breathable pots, such as ceramic pots, wooden pots, etc. For market use, choose beautiful porcelain pots, purple sand pots or plastic pots. Before potting or repotting, whether it is a new pot or an old pot, the pot should be soaked and washed to remove soil, moss or leached salts.
The method of potting is to first cover the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot with tiles, with the concave side facing down. Fill the bottom of the pot with a layer of coarse particles of culture soil, broken tiles or coal slag as a drainage layer, and then fill it with a layer of culture soil. When planting seedlings, hold the seedlings with your left hand, place them in the middle of the pot at an appropriate depth, fill them with culture soil, and press them tightly with your hands. After filling the culture soil, there should be an appropriate distance between the soil surface and the pot mouth (usually 2 to 3 cm). Then use a watering can to fully irrigate and sprinkle branches and leaves, and place them in a shaded place for a few days to slow down the growth. After the seedlings resume growth, gradually place them in a place with sufficient light.
